Bulletin #1, February 2005Editorial
Welcome to 2005. This year offers most interesting events on Artificial Intelligence in Europe. First, you have a chance to improve your knowledge on Advanced Knowledge Technologies (including Knowledge Discovery) at ECCAI's summer school (called ACAI-2005). The courses will given in one of the most charming new capitals of the new EU member countries, namely Ljubljana (Slovenia). A Doctoral Consortium will be part of ACAI-2005. It will give young scientists a forum for presenting and discussing their ideas. The ECCAI Travel Award Scheme will support participation in ACAI-2005.
Lateron, beginning of August, Edinburgh should be on your travel plan. This year's IJCAI is located in Europe, more exactly in Scotland. Go for it. Best wishes for a successful year of AI research and applications.
